• This book, Natural Hair Recipes goes back to the roots (yes pun intended) of quality healthy hair care. I was pleasantly surprised at the many ways we we can use fresh produce and oils sitting in our fridges and pantries to make natural healthy hair products such as shampoos, conditioners, even gels and hairsprays.
  
  Good shampoos are costly and the cheap ones can do more damage and harm to your hair and scalp. Moreover you will find artificial chemicals in both categories and these can be harmful to your health, especially if you have asthma or suffer from allergies.
  
  In this book you will find recipes for all types of hair - oily, limp, frizzy ... pick the one that is suitable for your type and mash or blend away. It takes little to no time and you have excellent hair care products that are made from natural and whole foods. Prepare to have beautiful and easily manageable hair.
• My wife had been complaining that she thought that the hair products she is using is damaging her hair. With the whole world moving away from chemicals, she feels she should too. So I grabbed this book for her. She was quite excited about the various products, how to make them and of course the fact that they are natural,. She is jacked and looks forward to trying them out!!

• Not what I expected but it is entretaining and somewhat useful.
  We had a party making the shampoos and other hair products, it was a lot of fun.
• This not a book. More like homemade pamphlet. You can get the same recipes on YouTube or Pinterest for free.
• I have a lot of what is listed in this book. For the most part it is a great read and proof that you have stuff lying around your house that promotes natural hair care. Since I make homemade soap most of the essential oils she lists are in my soaping room. I'm happy that she never brought up fragrance oils since I believe that the synthetic stuff added couldn't possibly be good for natural hair care. However, much as I have enjoyed most of this book there is one subject that caused me to give four instead of five stars--weaves. I personally cannot get on board with encouraging women to wear something that isn't naturally a part of them as a process of growing hair. I once wore weaves and five years after I stopped I cannot see the benefit in it. I am disappointed as I had a view of this book as one that was going to focus on the natural hair that grows on a person's head.
• Informative and easy to read. Provides recipes that are simple, ingredient friendly (I usually have most of the items available...), and work well.
• Love doing diy for natural hair and this was an excellent selection if you are someone who doesn't mind rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands a little messy you will enjoy this book.
