“Recycled Human†is a continuation of my first book, Damaged Goods but Recycled Human is aimed more at the re-entry into the general public. A big part of that shift involves various ‘transitional services’ which are in fact not helping people. In fact, the services meant to help a person like me develop can be yet another oppressive system. When a person wants to change and truly is ready to face change, it can be challenging to find genuine resources. So here it is…..this is my testimony of what I saw in myself and the system that needed changing. I hope “Recycled Human†is useful in your own personal journey or the journey of your loved one.

"What a great book! Glenna McCarthy has written an honest and intimate portrayal of her life, sharing details of heart-wrenching, humbling and ultimately uplifting experiences that have shaped her into the undeniably strong, compassionate and unbreakable woman she is today. Her sense of humor shines throughout the book, and I found myself laughing many times, because this book, while full of details of difficult situations that the author has lived through, is also extremely funny, uplifting and helpful for anyone trying to improve his/her life. The creative illustrations within add to the experience of reading this book, and I recommend it to everyone!"

- I loved the way the writer went into depth about what's it really like when you are released from prison and go to one of the many non for profit re-entry programs. The author spoke with such passion about her experiences. This is an excellent read for anyone trying to get a fresh start whether coming home from prison . a drug program, staring over is hard for anyone...this author proves it can be done even if the various funded programs can't do what they promise. I would and have recommended the book Recycled Human for anyone to read..its something in it for everyone starting over
- Great book, very inspiring, nice to read a true grit book about totally revamping your life and achieving greatness. Glenna is a real life hero in my book...and hers!
- Glenna writes a truthful and powerful reality of not only her journey of reentry but the reentry of thousands who continue to be imprisoned by the reentry process.
